Get Out, Enjoy Life Photo Contest: 10 Honorable Mentions

With so many great photos to choose from, selecting the winners for our annual Get Out Enjoy Life Photo Contest with SPORTS 'N SPOKES magazine is always a difficult decision.

In 2014, Regina Cake won first place in the Get Out Enjoy Life Photo Contest with her taking the roads by storm in her adaptive, hot pink motorcycle. Coming in second place was Cade Maynor’s rock-climbing photo, and Jason McCue’s passion for surfing landed him in third place for the competition.

But, for all our participants [more than 500!] who didn’t place in the 2014 Get Out Enjoy Life Photo Competition, we’ve decided to award 10 individuals an honorable mention, and share how these individuals get out and enjoy life.

Kim Harrison lets loose, and zip lines high above the ground without a care in the world. Heights may bother some people, but it looks like Kim is having the time of her life. A wheelchair may be her main source of mobility, but it’s not her only one.

2. Hand Cycling

Whether it’s for recreation or competition, Chanelle Houston doesn’t seem to mind. With a big smile, she rocks this adaptive hand-cycle with style. These hand-cycles are a great way for people who have limited or no mobility in their lower body, to get outside, exercise and to have fun while doing so.

3. Water Skiing with Friends
